Upcoming Affiliate Updates - Feb 2021 • Direwolf Design

Our Creator Affiliate Program was one of the first things we wanted to get set up.

We understand the importance of building a community around what we do, and our Creator Affiliate Program is our way of giving back to the people who continue to support us with what we do.

We're always striving to add more value to everything we offer, whether it's our products, services or the ways we try and give back to the people who support us.

For any business working in the streaming industry, leveraging the power of communities is one of the best ways to grow, and generally that comes in the form of feedback and reviews.

If a trusted streamer are willing to put their name to something, their community will most likely trust that it's a good business. Makes sense, right?

Unfortunately we've seen all to often affiliate programs and partnerships that provide very little benefit for the creators they're supposed to be supporting.

We want to make sure we're doing things in the right way, which is why we'll be continually adding benefits and updates to our affiliate program as our community grows.

Here's some of the new updates coming to our Creator Affiliate Program in the next couple of weeks:

Creator Codes

Providing benefits to our affiliates is one thing, but allowing those creators to provide additional benefits to their own communities is where we're going with this one.

Alongside affiliate links, which give our creator affiliates 20% sales commission, we're rolling out Creator Codes, which they can use to provide their communities with exclusive discounts for using their code.

Initially, all Creator Codes will provide users with a 10% discount on any purchases through our shop. If you use a Creator Code alongside an affiliate link, the creator will also receive their 20% commission.

As our affiliate program grows we'll be adjusting how these codes work and hopefully provide even more rewards to both creators and their communities.

Creator Links

If you've read through our Affiliate Program, you'll know that we use Gumroad to power our affiliate program. This allows us to manage everything from one location and is very handy.

Unfortunately, Gumroad doesn't provide the nicest looking affiliate links, so we're working on updating our system to allow custom links through our own website that will trigger the affiliate benefit.

This means our Creator Affiliates can have links that look more like channelname.direwolfdesign.co rather than the current Gumroad links.

Commission Rewards

With our affiliate program running through Gumroad, it unfortunately means we can currently only provide affiliate rewards for direct sales through our Shop and not for any custom design work we might get through a referral.

With the updates to our affiliate link system, we'll be making some tweaks to our commission request form that will provide us with an affiliate name if someone grabs a commission from us within 30 days of following an affiliate link to our website.

We're still working on integrating this into the website but we're hopeful to have this update live by the end of the month.

Custom Creator Panels

We want to make it as easy as possible for our Creator Affiliates to share their links, so we'll be taking some time to design custom Affiliate Twitch Panels that showcase both the affiliate's link and their Creator Code.

We'll also be releasing some more on-stream graphics in the coming weeks to help creators to better showcase their links.

Website Updates

We'll be updating our Affiliates section of the website soon to showcase our creator affiliates right here and let you choose an affiliate to support directly from the website.

This will include Affiliate Profiles and showcase pages that will let you get to know our affiliates better, check out some of their content and support them even more.
