Creating a Webstore with Gumroad

Gumroad is a ready-made ecommerce platform for Creative Designers to easily sell their content.

Here's how we leveraged the power of Gumroad to power our creative marketplace.

If you've visited our Shop page, you'll have seen our products listed there. All our direct purchase products are created and hosted on our Gumroad web store.

Gumroad lets Graphic Designers set up and create a free online store that enables their customers to buy and download their products instantly. With options for Direct Purchase, Preorders and Subscriptions, Gumroad offers just about anything a Graphic Designer could need to get set up with an online store in minutes.

How we use Gumroad

Gumroad is the system we use to create and manage all of our direct purchase products found in our Store. We use the Gumroad e-commerce platform to create and host all of our design packs for streamers, then use their built-in API to pull a list of all our products back to our website.

Using Gumroad's embed system, we can seamlessly integrate their payment system directly into our website without our customers ever having to leave this site!

Gumroad Affiliate Platform

As well as providing a powerful e-commerce system, Gumroad also offers creators the ability to set up their own Affiliate program. With the Gumroad Affiliate Platform, you can add sales affiliates to your Gumroad account and set individual rates for each affiliate that joins your team.

This is the system we use for our Creator Affiliate Program. It lets us easily create and manage our affiliates, provide them with custom links back to our store, and lets them earn commissions on any sales made within 30 days of a customer following their affiliate link.

Posts, Workflows & Mailing Lists

On top of everything else, Gumroad is a powerful CRM system that lets you keep your potential customers updated with new products. Users can quickly and easily sign up to your mailing list and get notified by email any time you publish a new product or create a new post on your Gumroad account.

Free users can create up to 4 posts each month to keep their customers and followers updated on what's going on, what's new and what you have planned for the weeks or months ahead, letting you build hype for your upcoming products and turn your followers into repeat customers.

You can also set up custom email workflows to welcome new followers and keep them engaged, build up your customer base and create trust with your potential customers by showing off what you know.
