Website Update - Feb 2021
What's new on the Direwolf Design Creator Hub
We've been busy updating our website to make things a bit more interactive and prepare for our next major update.
Here's what we've been working on.
Our website's only a couple of weeks old, but we're working hard to get everything set up to make it as easy as possible for you to interact directly with us, as well as consolidating the multiple systems we use into one hub.
If you've visited before, you'll probably notice a few design updates and a couple of new features. Here's a breakdown of everything you can find in our latest update:
Updated Navigation
We've streamlined our navigation a little bit, moving everything over to the left side on desktop to keep all our navigation links closer together and make it easy for you to jump around our site.
You'll also notice the new Login with Twitter button on the right hand side of the navigation menu. This is the first of our social login systems we're using to allow you to better interact with our website and our content.
We'll be adding some new sections to the website for logged in users in the next few weeks, but we'll save that for a later update.
Categories & Tags
You'll notice you can now browse our blog posts by category & tag. This should make it easier for you to find content you find relevant on our website.
Look out for us recategorising some of our content in the coming weeks, as well as rolling out the same system across our work pages.
Comments & Reactions
You'll notice on our blog & work pages there's a few new icons at the bottom of each post. These are reactions. Once you've logged in with Twitter you'll be able to leave a reaction one each post you read.
You'll also notice the comment area under each post has been opened up to logged in users to let you leave your thoughts on our posts and our work. You can also add a reaction to other users' comments.
You'll need to be logged in with your Twitter account in order to comment or react to posts.
Comment Flagging & Moderation
We're using social logins to provide some accountability for users who want to comment. By doing this we have better control over users who post on our website.
We value all opinions, open communication and constructive feedback, but we will not tolerate harrassment, hate-speech or any other negative content being added to our website.
If you seen something on the website you feel violates our Code of Conduct, you can instantly hide it from the site by flagging it as inappropriate. This will put it into a moderation queue until we've had a chance to deal with it.
Code of Conduct
As we mentioned above, we've opened up our website to the public by allowing commenting on our content. Obviously, this leads to the need for a community Code of Conduct to ensure we have a dedicated set of guidelines for what is and isn't acceptable content.
We'll be continuing to review and update our Code of Conduct as new social features are rolled out across the website, so be sure to keep an eye out here for any future updates.
Privacy & Cookies Policy Updates
As we're now rolling out social logins, we'll be updating our Privacy & Cookies Policy to ensure we're giving you up-to-date information on any cookies we set on your device and how your data is being used and stored on our website.
We know popups are annoying, but unfortunately we'll be adding a Privacy Checkup popup to our site in the next couple of weeks to ensure we're making you all aware of the data we use, how we use it and how you can control the data we store on your visits.
Still to Come...
As you can see, we're actively working on the website and we're continuing to make tweaks and updates and work on new features.
We've got some new features coming out in the next few weeks for our Affiliates and we've already mentioned some new areas we're working on for logged in users.
Obviously, on top of all this we're still hard at work getting our new products ready to roll, you can read more about what we're launching this month in our February Update.
As always, if there's anything you'd like to see from us in the future, make sure to drop us a message or DM us on Twitter!
Go ahead and test out the new Comment and Reaction systems below! Make sure to follow us on Gumroad and Twitter too if you want to get the latest updates from us before anyone else!
